I recently downloaded the latest version 7.54 and when I launch the App the game window is quarter size and I cannot click directly on any of the buttons for options. I can however guess where the button is virtually. Meaning if the button is exactly in the center of the game window, I can click in the middle of the Mac screen and hope for the best. If I resize the screen (click and drag), the game window sizes with it keeping that quarter size.

Try setting the app to run in low resolution mode: close the game, right click the game's app icon and select "Get Info" in the menu you will see appear. Then in the new window that will appear, check the "Open in Low Resolution" item, and press "Ok" to close the window.
