Recent (mandatory) Hearts upgrade not compatible

I've been playing GrassGames Hearts on my old Mac being a contrarian satisfied with old tech applications. Unfortunately you have made a recent upgrade to Hearts mandatory so I no longer can compete in Hearts online. Is there really a technical reason why the 3.22 Mac version can't still be used if the changes are merely "visual"? Otherwise, I am up the creek without a paddle on this one. I hope others are not also adversely effected by this mandatory upgrade. I may need to request a refund since the Online access is now gone.

Also I don't have the option to switch and use Hearts on my Android phone as GrassGames Hearts is not available in the Google Play Store.

Yep Hearts needed to be updated to support network play with the new Xbox release - this was unavoidable.

I like to support old devices whenever possible, but unfortunately Apple make this very very difficult if not impossible sometimes, with their regulations and requirements for developers.

So what version of Mac OS X are you using? And what happens when you open the latest version of the app?

The MacOS is as old has your original date of joining this forum! If you used some tool from Apple for XBOX to develop it, no doubt the nonsense of only the last three OS versions are supported only. (Don't know if the developer is given the freedom to override that?). This insures that new hardware must be purchased using the so-called "security risk" as the prevailing rationale. It sounds like to bring the XBOX to the Hearts table, you were forced to make changes to the Mac version of Hearts? Neither of my Macs will be on the Apple reservation of OSes. The error message I get is that the Mac OS is too old and points me to the Download page... I've attached the message. The Mac OS is below 14 for my two Mac devices. I hope all your other Mac users have been upgrading their hardware at the mandated pace. It would be nice to confirm what the oldest OS for Mac is supported...

I did see that you have an Android tablet version of Hearts back in the Google Play store so I do have a tablet that I hope may work (not being as ancient as my Macs.)

I tried version 3.22 of Hearts found in Google Play Store but it has issues with not being able to remember/save settings and more importantly is connecting improperly to the server. No one else shows up in the Lobby. So it appears the Android version (at least for tablet) has to be updated to work with the recent changes made to bring XBOX into the fold. I have no choices left as you no longer seem to support Android through the Play Store. Will you be posting a newer version of Hearts for Android tablet in the Google Play Store?

Still would like to know what versions of Mac OS when work with Hearts on that platform.... I may need to request a refund since my Macs and this Android tablet are not supported anylonger?

The minimum Mac version needed is OSX Catalina (10.15).
