Word is that 32 bit apps will no longer work on next OS issue from Apple in the fall. Is current Solitaire 3D 64 bit or will there be an update available?

Current Solitaire 3D is 32 bit.

Aidan, any news of an update/upgrade?

Version 7 is 64-bit and is out now for those who bought the full version via GrassGames.com.

The free versions and the Mac App Store versions will follow later, but the Mac App Store versions may be a while as they have to go through the time consuming Apple review process.

Thank you, Aiden! Just downloaded version 7 to my 2017 iMac and it works great. Come on, Catalina.

Is that on Mojave? I haven't tested it on that version of Mac OS X yet.

Yes. macOS Mojave 10.14.5 and no problems as of yet. Thanks again!

So I've been using version 7 of Solitaire for about a week now.
For me, I like the new fullscreen display that stll shows the title bar and dock. Very nice addition. Also this version seems to be a lot faster in its response.
Now the buttons on the right side of the screen are smaller than they were. This bothered me for the first couple of hours, then I didn't notice it any more.

Klondike 3D, and the other free versions, have all been updated on the Mac App Store.

I still can't figure out what versions of Solitaire are 64 bit and compatible with Catalina OSX. "updated" to me, means everything from a new color for the table or code re-written from scratch. It is a broad term. I'll keep shopping.

All versions of Solitaire 3D have been updated for Catalina / 64-bit.
