VERSION 1 - COMMON PROBLEMS

  • Problems using the mouse to control the bat:

    Click here for details about this.

  • Problems settings up a multiplayer connection over a network:

    The following information (courtesy of Valek) may be useful :

    First, your game must use port 2302, and for playing online this port must be free. Another port that must also be free is port 6073 - this is used by Microsoft DirectPlay Server.

    Also, if you still have problems and you or your opponent have made a custom Bat, delete or rename your personal Bat file (username.bmp in the Users directory) and get your opponent to do the same [ this is because the personal Bats pictures are also sent over the connection when setting up multiplayer games ].

    Some people also were having problems due to DirectX files being corrupted. You can check your DirectX installation using the following:

    Start->Run->DxDiag

    If DxDiag reports the some files are corrupted (in the DirectX Files section), you should re-install DirectX from Microsoft's site here.

  • Texts on the buttons are unreadable

    Click here for instructions on how to fix this problem.

  • "Setting Clock Back" error message (download version only)

    Contact GrassGames directly for a fix to this problem at. This does not affect the full versions of Table Tennis Pro.

  • "DINPUT8.DLL" error message

    You need to install DirectX version 8 or later first before you can run Table Tennis Pro. You can get DirectX at Microsoft's site here.

  • "Access Violation" error message when trying to access Multiplayer games (download version on Windows 95/98 only)

    This problem has been fixed. Please un-install the version of Table Tennis Pro you have on your computer and re-download the trial version again. This does not affect the full versions of Table Tennis Pro.
