Occasionally it may be necessary to remove or rename these if you are experiencing problems within a game. If you rename them you can undo your changes later by deleting any newly created folder of the same name as the folder you renamed (this gets re-created after you run the game again) , then renaming the renamed folder back to its original name. e.g.:
- You go to the game preferences folder using the steps above.
- You find the folder "Solitaire 3D" (we'll use "Solitaire 3D" as an example - replace this with whatever game you are using)
- You rename the folder to "Solitaire 3D Renamed"
- You run the game. The game starts up with new users and scores etc, and a new folder "Solitaire 3D" is created.
- You quit the game, and decide you want your old user files back.
- You delete the newly created folder "Solitaire 3D".
- You rename the folder "Solitaire 3D Renamed" back to "Solitaire 3D".
- Now when you run the game you have your old users and scores etc. back.
