As you try to getting 4 to play a game, the host most of the time
runs into a player that has left the app running and is not at the computer for a long period of time.

This is extremely rude and frustrating to the person who is willing
to spend their time and effort in hosting.
A good example is " Spook " many times I have hosted a game and
do not receive any response when asking him to join.

Is there a way to stop this frustrating practice ?

Try hosting .. maybe during late evenings .. and you will expirence what
I am writing about.

There's no way, sorry. People are allowed to stay logged in as long as they wish.

This issue is quite bothersome but I can live with it.
